It has been reported that Ariel Sharon is dead many times in the media. Who actually knows the truth thought at this point? For a man that was so popular in his time, Ariel Sharon does not seem to be getting the respect that he deserves in his dying days. For the media to be reporting that he is dead, that he is alive and fine, and that he is dying rapidly all in the same week is highly irresponsible for a society that supposedly loves Ariel Sharon.

How did Sharon arrive in his current condition?
On January 4, however, Sharon suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke at his ranch Havat Hashikmim, in the Negev region. He was transported by ambulance to Hadassah hospital in Jerusalem to undergo brain surgery. Although Sharon was reportedly in stable condition, his doctors called the stroke “significant”, adding that he “suffered a cerebral hemorrhage”, or bleeding in the brain. Sharon underwent seven hours of surgery to stop the bleeding and drain the accumulated blood. Hadassah Director Shlomo Mor-Yosef reported after the surgery that the bleeding had stopped, saying that “all the parameters are according to expectations after an operation of this type.” However, now comatose, Sharon’s chances for recovery are estimated as “very low”.

The condition of the former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, 78, has deteriorated further, the hospital treating him has said. Mr Sharon has been in a coma since suffering a stroke in early January. A new brain scan shows a deterioration in his brain function, a spokeswoman for the Sheba Medical Center told the Associated Press on Monday. Mr Sharon’s urine output has also decreased and a chest scan shows that he has a new infection, she added.
